Netherley Wood nestles into the landscape, which in turn is quite wooded, with the approach road unusually having a lovely feel to it too. This would originally have been scrubland but is maturing very nicely indeed with some fine specimen trees. Alongside the diverse tree species, there are also plenty of open areas that could be planted, such as with a forest orchard, or used for some small scale cultivation.
